Utica July 4th Celebration

The fireworks display has moved to Proctor Park and a car show is planned. Separate parking and security for the show cars will be available. The band Classified will be providing musical entertainment. We will be arriving around 5:00PM. Contact Bob Nora at 724-1630 if you want to attend with the club. We still have no details about the parade.

Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute Antique Car Show

Dinner Social

This month's social is at Vernon Downs for dinner and harness racing. The price per person is $20, that includes $15.99 for the Gold Cup Buffet, 8.75% tax of $1.40 and 15% gratuity of $2.61 for a total of $20.00 per person. The $20 will get us seating in the Gold Cup Room, the all you can eat Gold Cup Buffet, a complimentary Live Race Program and if needed shuttle service between the track, hotel and casino. We will meet at Byrne Dairy in Kirkland at 5:15PM and depart at 5:30. Call Kathy Kraus at 853-6488 by Monday July 6 for your reservation.

3rd Annual Soprano's Car Show

Deerfield Firehouse, Trenton Rd., Utica. Registration 10AM to noon (fire extinguishers required), judging 12:30 PM, awards at 3:30PM. Registration fee is $10 at the gate. Music by Sal Stokes.

Rochester Corvette Club 50th Anniversary

The Rochester Corvette Club will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2009 and would like to invite all Corvette owners to a Show and Shine Picnic. The date is Sunday, July 12, 2009 from noon to 5:00 PM. The place is The Log Cabin Family Restaurant, 2445 West Walworth Road, Macedon, NY 14502. The menu will include Roast Pork, Chicken, Pasta, Salads and a big cake. Cost is $15/person in advance, $20 at the door. This is a rain or shine event. Limited to the first 300 people. Extravaganza 2009 11th ANNIVERSARY Celebration

Canal lock #19, Route 5, Schuyler 6pm - 9pm. Classic car show with prizes for best of show. Music by Sal Stokes. Refreshments available, fireworks display at dusk. Sponsored by the Town of Schuyler Fire Department, Inc., Town of Schuyler, and the Town Recreation Department.

Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen, U.S. Vintage Grand Prix

This is turning into a tradition and we have a great time touring the countryside and driving the original Grand Prix course. The driving tour still has openings; contact Dennis Gillmore at 797-8415 for the registration form. We normally do the Founder's Tour: Open to any automobiles of any marque or vintage, although preference is given to classic special interest smaller cars. An exclusive cross-county tour through the picturesque Finger Lakes Region, with parade laps of the original 6.6-mile circuit for sports and classic cars. A registration fee of $75 includes lunch for driver and guest at the beautiful Red Newt Cellars located in Hector, two laps of the original course, a bottle of commemoratively labeled wine and reserved downtown display parking. The Harvest Fun Run in Cooperstown

Presented by The Leatherstocking Corvette Club (LCC). Enjoy Cooperstown with fellow Corvette enthusiasts. Cruise scenic Leatherstocking country or visit Cooperstown attractions. The Farmers' and Fenimore Art museums are within walking distance. Trolleys run every 30 minutes to downtown Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Vettes to Vets

This event benefits the disabled veterans being cared for at the Bedford Veterans Hospital, Bedford MA. No entry fee, but participants are asked to bring a goodie bag of items to help out the veterans (we have a one page list of suggested items). The Marriot Hotel in Billerica, MA is offering a special rate of $59 for September 26th. Last year over 200 Corvettes attended.
